Hi Everyone, I feel like I am about to embark on an adventure of some sort. I am going to Lake City for the Wine and Music Festival this weekend. I have a booth where I will be selling my artwork, but more importantly I get to see my best friend who is more like a sister. We haven't seen each other since Christmas, so this I'm very happy about tomorrow.
After Lake City, I am heading to Taos for the Taos Arts Festival. I am so excited about this festival too. A good friend of mine from here will be meeting up with me down there. She has been a big supporter of my artistic endeavors, so I feel blessed that she is coming. Unfortunately, my boyfriend can't go, but he is going to take care of the wild ones for me...that is a huge relief. I am really looking forward to showing my artwork in New Mexico for the first time publicly, and meeting new and interesting people. This style of mine actually "broke out" of me while I was living in Cordova, New Mexico, which is on the Old High Road to Taos...so I feel like I am coming full circle in a way.
I wanted to thank everyone for their nice comments regarding by Blues and Brews paintings. Just so you know, that story I told about myself, my birthday and Stevie's concert happened twenty years ago. Yikes, how time flies and frees the Soul! Stevie Ray Vaughan died on August 27th 1990....and that seems like yesterday.

I did this painting last year at this time. This is of a Ghost Dancer taking part at my adopted Uncle's Sun Dance on the Pine Ridge Reservation. At least it is a person I imagined. My Uncle had all of the Sun Dancer's come out at night and Ghost Dance with the Full Moon...it was an amazing experience.

This is a painting that I recently did...maybe still working on.....not sure yet. It is of a Spirit I saw while at the Anasazi Pueblos one time. Her message was that they are still there...

I've worked on this for a few months. It is what I saw one night as the the sun set below the horizon...that in between place between night and day...between the physical and spirit.

I have shown this before, but I got a much better picture. This is my view of the veil between the linear world and the shamanic world.
