Ceremonial Reenchantment
Reenchanting life through Shamanic Art
On The Road Again
photo

Hi Everyone, I feel like I am about to embark on an adventure of some sort. I am going to Lake City for the Wine and Music Festival this weekend. I have a booth where I will be selling my artwork, but more importantly I get to see my best friend who is more like a sister. We haven't seen each other since Christmas, so this I'm very happy about tomorrow.

After Lake City, I am heading to Taos for the Taos Arts Festival. I am so excited about this festival too. A good friend of mine from here will be meeting up with me down there. She has been a big supporter of my artistic endeavors, so I feel blessed that she is coming. Unfortunately, my boyfriend can't go, but he is going to take care of the wild ones for me...that is a huge relief. I am really looking forward to showing my artwork in New Mexico for the first time publicly, and meeting new and interesting people. This style of mine actually "broke out" of me while I was living in Cordova, New Mexico, which is on the Old High Road to Taos...so I feel like I am coming full circle in a way.

I wanted to thank everyone for their nice comments regarding by Blues and Brews paintings. Just so you know, that story I told about myself, my birthday and Stevie's concert happened twenty years ago. Yikes, how time flies and frees the Soul! Stevie Ray Vaughan died on August 27th 1990....and that seems like yesterday.

Ghost Dancing With The Moon

I did this painting last year at this time. This is of a Ghost Dancer taking part at my adopted Uncle's Sun Dance on the Pine Ridge Reservation. At least it is a person I imagined. My Uncle had all of the Sun Dancer's come out at night and Ghost Dance with the Full Moon...it was an amazing experience.

Spirits In The Wind

This is a painting that I recently did...maybe still working on.....not sure yet. It is of a Spirit I saw while at the Anasazi Pueblos one time. Her message was that they are still there...

Colorado Sunset

I've worked on this for a few months. It is what I saw one night as the the sun set below the horizon...that in between place between night and day...between the physical and spirit.

Shamanic Abstract #2

I have shown this before, but I got a much better picture. This is my view of the veil between the linear world and the shamanic world.

That is so awesome, you traveling to these shows, it is so great. I remember you saying a while back that you were going to make some decisions about your art and pursuing it. It is so beautiful, the things your accomplishing. I find it very inspirational. Your paintings are so... words just can not capture them. You have to read into them, they have depth. It seems they contain "spirit". Well, Have an awesome time! and be careful! Take care... K

Really love these new paintings, yes the style is very different, and the second painting description seems to sum it up best for me... 'that in between place between night and day...between the physical and spirit'....to me that is what these paintings feel of.
Your previous art has so much heart and vision, what you see we you paint your inner vision, these are like threshold ones, brushstrokes on both sides of the veil. Meeting points, the soft but also directness of each, the first dreamy mistlike in part and also scratchy in sections as if to make a tangible mark or grasp in our world the colours melt out towards into me, a hued sensuality.
The second of the newer, ahhh if i were to pick the favourite time of the day for me.... it is this, the meeting point, how many hundreds of sunsets i have watched and waited for this moment, magic! It is cradled, nestlike, promising, (incubating?) newlife, connecting old, an outer dance, circular, actually beautifully ouroborus like, perfect symbology for what you saw and felt, love it! The last also love, again the roundness and circles within circles, connected and flowing, evermoving, sparks of spectural light, and the centre has a very deeply embryonic feeling to me.
Thankyou so much for sharing your journey with us all, your painting stay fresh in my mind long after experiencing, hope you have an amazing time away filled with wonder and many new friends. Can't wait to hear all about it! xKylie
