Robert Johnson was The Blues Musician. He often said that he sold his soul to the devil to play the way that he did. He was way ahead of his times, and he has been covered by many Blues and Rock musicians such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers Band, Neil Young and the Rolling Stones. His life spanned 27 years, and there is not much known about him. He died one night...everyone says it was a poisoning, but no one is sure if it was a jealous husband or a jealous woman who did it. He was rated the 5th best guitarist of all times by Rolling Stones magazine.

When I painted him, I felt a lot of stuff....humbleness yet at attitude....fear yet a belief that he could do anything....bold yet shy. He was a pardox in many ways to me as I painted him.
