Wolves
Little Wolf - I have always wanted to paint a wolf, and one day an image came to me. Six months later I began painting this image. I go into a trance state when I paint, so I am rarely aware of how things are being painted and what they look like until I step back. When I was done with this one, which I did at a feverish pitch, I realized I painted my dog Chester who passed away two years earlier. Everyone called him Little Wolf. This won second place, an honorable mention and the People's Choice Award.

One night I camped on a lake in British Columbia. It was so beautiful and pristine. I thought I heard a wolf howl way off in the distance. I decided to howl back, and before I knew it, they were down the way from me. We respected each other's space, and I simply watched in awe. This is my rememberance of that moment.This is currently in the Cat's Lair Gallery in Moab, UT
